Box Score Box Score - North Park v. UW-Oshkosh
Enduring quite possibly the toughest portion of its 2015 schedule, North Park faced its tallest challenge thus far in nationally-ranked UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon.
Although the Vikings came away with a 35-0 setback to the host Titans, North Park held one of the top teams in NCAA Division III under 200 yards rushing and forced one fumble.
Junior quarterback T.D. Conway completed his third consecutive game of 200 yards passing or more as he finished the day 24 of 48 for an even 200. Senior wide receiver Anthony Burton caught nine passes for 78 yards and both Filo Langkilde and James Herron rushed for 27 and 21 yards, respectively. Langkilde also had three catches for 38 yards receiving to finish the day with 95 all-purpose yards and sophomore Devin Childress had two catches for 43 yards.
Defensively, Chaun Maiava had a solid game as he recorded 10 total tackles, including four solo, and recorded a sack a tackle for a loss of four yards. Senior Brendon Dull was just as impressive as he recorded nine tackles, three solo.
Quarterback Brett Kasper led the Oshkosh offense as he threw for three touchdowns. Kasper completed 22 of his 32 passes for 266 yards without an interception. His top receiver was Sam Mentkowski who had three catches for 101 yards. The Titans improved to 2-1 with the victory.
North Park (1-2) returns to action Saturday Oct. 3 when it comes home to open College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play with Wheaton College at 1 p.m.
