Men's Soccer defeats Albion 4-0

Tahmi-Masoleh tallies two goals; Keeper Tomuta earns fourth win

North Park scored early and often as it rebounded from its first loss of the season earlier in the week with a 4-0 win over visiting Albion College Saturday night.

Junior Pedram Tahmi-Masoleh continued his onslaught on the offensive side of the ball as he tallied goals No. 5 and No. 6 on the season in the victory, which improved NP to 4-1 on the year.

After sophomore Chase Lennartz scored the first goal – his second in the last four matches – on a bottom left shot off an assist from Tahmi-Masoleh in the 14th minute, Tahmi-Masoleh came away with an unassisted free kick shot from the left side that bounced past the keeper and into the top right corner of the net.

North Park made it a 3-0 affair in the 66th minute when Gianfranco DeCarne's near bicycle kick pass was dropped at the feet of Tahmi-Masoleh, who in turn put in a shot in the bottom right corner of the goal.

Jose Miguel Valle added the final tally of the night as tallied his first goal of the season on a shot off the right side in the 88th minute. In all, the Vikings fired 27 shots to Albion's 11. Junior goalkeeper Christopher Tomuta made three saves in earning his fourth win of the season.

North Park (4-1) returns to action Wednesday night when it travels to Dubuque, Iowa for a 6 p.m. match against the University of Dubuque.
