The North Park women's basketball team ended the 2014-15 season with a 103-70 setback to host North Central College in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action Saturday night.
North Park posted a six-point lead early after sophomore Nikki Przybyslawski knocked down a jumper with 16:56 left in the first half, but North Central responded with a 13-2 scoring run over a three-minute span to seize a 39-29 advantage and later a 43-34 edge at halftime.
NP fought its way back in the opening two minutes of the second half to close the gap to 10 at 46-36 after Nicole Kruckman scored a lay-up off an assist from senior Annie Shain, but North Central proved to be too much as it reeled off another spurt – this time a 12-2 clip – to push its lead back up to 20 at 58-38 with 16:53 remaining.
Przybyslawski led three different Vikings in double-figure scoring as she tallied 15 on 5 of 9 shooting. Shain added 11 points, connecting for three three-pointers, and Kruckman recorded a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds. North Park out-rebounded NCC 62-53 with Rachel Torres grabbing 12 boards, Kennedy Kantner 11 and Soly Roman 10. Tess Godhardt led the Cardinals with a game-high 30 points.
North Park ends the season with a 13-12 overall record and a 5-9 mark in the CCIW.
