Sophomore Colin Lake tallied a game-high 21 points and junior Juwan Henry added 18 in the Vikings' 73-70 victory over Adrian College in Michigan Saturday afternoon.

The win snapped a five-game winning streak for Adrian as the hosts fell to 5-1 on the year. Christian Covile led AC with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Lake connected on five three-pointers, a season-high for the Michigan native, but none of them were as clutch as his final one of the day a dagger which put North Park ahead 69-65 with 2:22 left in the contest. A Covile lay-up with 18 seconds remaining trimmed the lead to 70-69, but 1 of 2 free throws from Henry coupled with a pair from Lake put the game away for the Vikings.

North Park enjoyed as much as a nine-point advantage at 24-15 after a three-pointer from Trevor Pye at the 9:08 mark of the first half, but Adrian fought its way back to seize a 38-36 advantage at halftime by scoring 23 of the half's final 44 points.

The run didn't deter the visitors much as they overcame the deficit with a 9-0 scoring run of their own to start the second half and pull ahead 45-38 on a pair of Michael Hutchinson free throws four minutes in, but again Adrian responded and re-captured a 55-54 lead with 9:29 left before North Park countered and kept the lead for good on a three-pointer from Lake.

Sophomore Jordan Robinson added 16 points on 6 of 12 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers, while Hutchinson added a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes off the bench. DeVonte Harris added 16 points for Adrian.

North Park (2-1) returns to action Wednesday night when it travels to Alma, Michigan for a 6:30 p.m. contest with Alma College.
