Sophomore Jordan Robinson went for a career-high 37 points but it wasn't enough as North Park dropped its second game of the season, a 98-75 setback to host Alma College in Michigan Wednesday night.

Robinson scored 23 of his game-high 37 in the first half as he tried to help keep the Vikings within striking distance at halftime, but Alma used a combination of five different double-digit scorers to earn its second win of the season.

Robinson recorded a near double-double as he snagged nine rebounds in 34 minutes and the Schaumburg native gave the visitors an early one-point advantage when he connected on the first of his four three-pointers on the night. Alma responded to stake a 10-point advantage six minutes into the first half, but North Park used a 9-0 scoring run fueled by a three-point play from Robinson coupled with a Juwan Henry lay-up off a steal from Colin Lake to close within 18-17. Alma countered with a 12-2 spurt over a three-minute span to move ahead 35-24 and the Scots seized control by staking a 53-37 advantage at the break.

To their credit the Vikings were able to trim the deficit to 69-51 on a Henry jumper midway through the second half, but Alma all but put things away four minutes later when it ballooned its lead to as much as 29 points.

Henry was the only other Viking in double-figure scoring as he tallied 10 points. Both Jayson Stone and Michael Hutchinson came off the bench to tally six points each and Hutchinson grabbed five rebounds. Scott Nikodemski led Alma with 18 points.

North Park (2-2) looks to rebound Saturday when it hosts the Illinois Institute of Technology at 3 p.m.
