North Park snapped a two-match losing streak with a straight-set 25-21, 26-24, 25-18 victory over visiting Governors State University Tuesday night.

Both freshmen Lauren Wiltsie and Emily Farwell led the Vikings' net attack with a match-high 14 kills each while Kelly Clinton added six along with three service aces. Farwell also garnered a team-best four blocks while both Wiltsie and Maddy Barry added two each.

After seizing momentum in the first set, GSU fought its way back into the match by staking a 22-18 advantage in the second set. But the Vikings kept their poise and overcame the deficit thanks to the hitting of Farwell coupled with a few Jaguar hitting errors to piece together an 8-2 scoring run to close out the set.

Barry, who was coming off her fourth double-double of the season against Maranatha Baptist, finished the match with a match-high 33 assists. Defensively libero Mariah Rosito came up with 16 digs while Wiltsie and Mia Riccolo had 10 each. Erika Halverson and Briana Clark led Governors State with eight kills each.

North Park (10-15) returns to action this weekend when it travels to Rock Island for the Augustana College Pumpkin Bash. The Vikings face host Augustana at 3 p.m. Friday.
