The North Park volleyball team captured the Illinois Institute of Technology Tri-Match with a 2-0 record on the South Side Oct. 17.
Freshman Lauren Wiltsie led the Vikings' net attack as she totaled 28 kills over the two-match event while recording her 12th and 13th double-doubles of the season. She finished with a match-high 18 kills and 15 digs in the Vikings 25-18, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22 victory over Illinois Tech and later tallied 10 kills and 10 digs in a 25-9, 25-13, 25-14 triumph over Robert Morris University-Springfield in the nightcap.
Equally as impressive was her freshman teammate Emily Farwell who added 16 kills and hit at a .429 percentage with only one error in the three-set sweep of RMU. Farwell also added four serving aces and four block assists.
Defensively, junior Karen Rosales totaled 28 digs, including 22 against IIT. Senior Abigail McKowen added 12 assists and Hayley Brake had 13 combined kills and eight digs.
