Fredrik Greiff just has a knack for finding the back of the net first for the Vikings.
A day after scoring the game-winner in North Park's 3-0 win over St. John's University, Greiff came back Sunday and put away his second game-winner in as many days in a 2-0 win over Concordia Wisconsin, North Park's fourth-straight victory to start the season.
The Vikings have been dominating their opponents on the offensive side of the ball through the first four games. They've out-shot their opponents by a 69-29 margin, and are out-scoring them 12-1, averaging an even three goals per game.
Greiff scored his second goal of the season in the 61st minute when he took a feed from Pedram Tahmi-Masoleh and put the ball in the bottom right corner of the net 10 yards out. For Greiff it was his fifth shot of the game and his team-leading 13th overall. He could've had two goals in the game, but a shot he took earlier in the first half hit the crossbar unfortunately.
North Park added its final goal in the 74th minute when Tahmi-Masoleh scored on a Greiff assist from eight yards back. Tahmi-Masoleh recorded five total shots as North Park out-shot the Falcons by an 18-9 margin. CUW recorded only three shots on goal as Vikings' keeper Wesley Woodley made three saves.
North Park returns to action Friday night when it hosts Olivet College of Michigan for a 7 p.m. contest.
