Men's Soccer defeats St. John's 3-0

Vikings outscoring opponents 10-1 in first three games

North Park made quick work of St. John's University Saturday at Concordia Wisconsin, defeating the Johnnies by a 3-0 score to move their overall record to 3-0 on the year.

NP, which has allowed only one goal in its first three games while compiling 10, decided things early when Fredrik Greiff scored off an assist from Diego Lashlee in the third minute. Lashlee centered the ball and put a perfect pass right at the feet of Greiff for the strike, giving him his first goal of the season. The tandem then traded spots on North Park's second score in the 41st minute when Greiff dropped a free kick down to Lashlee from six yards out. Lashlee received the pass, quickly responded and headed the ball in the back corner of the net.

North Park dominated every facet of the match as it held the Johnnies to only four total shots, including one in the second half. Both keepers Joshua Junker and Wesley Woodley split time in goal as North Park went as many as 14 deep into its bench. Markus Fodstad finished off the scoring for North Park in the 61st minute on a 25-yard strike from Rick Anderson. In all the Vikings fired 17 shots, 11 on goal with Pedram Tahmi-Masoleh recording five.

North Park concludes its weekend trip to Mequon, Wisconsin with a 3:30 p.m. contest against the host Falcons.
