Box Score
Three days after tallying a career-high 18 points against Illinois Wesleyan, freshman T.J. Cobbs backed up his play with another solid performance.
Cobbs tallied a team-high 14 points against visiting Augustana College Saturday night, but it unfortunately wasn't enough as AC used a quadruple threat to earn a 91-61 win, for their 19th victory of the season.
Jawan Straughter led four different players from Augie in double-figure scoring as he finished with 16 points. Hunter Hill added 14 points and Tayvian Johnson finished with 13, while Branden Motzel added 10.
Augustana lit up the scoreboard in the second half, shooting nearly 65 percent from the field (64.5). AC connected for eight three-pointers in the game and had 37 points in the paint.
North Park started the game strong as it stayed with Augustana through the first seven minutes of the contest. The Vikings took a one-point lead on two different occasions after three-point plays from junior Nate Rummel, but Augustana quickly turned the momentum in its favor with an 11-1 scoring run to pull ahead 20-10 with 10:28 left in the first half. North Park managed to trim the deficit down to one at 32-31 after a clutch three-pointer from Ryan Hryn with 1:06 left, but that's the closest the Vikings drew the rest of the contest.
Freshman Juwan Henry added 12 points for the Vikings, while both Rummel and Garrett Gatz finished with nine points.
North Park completes the 2013-14 season with a 4-21 overall record and a 1-13 mark in the CCIW.
