The North Park volleyball team finished with a 0-2 record, losing to both St. Mary's University of Minnesota (3-0) and North Central College (3-1), Saturday at the Tiffany Robinson Memorial Tournament at North Central College.
North Park's best game of the day came in the third set against the host Cardinals. In the third set of the contest, junior Abigail McKowen served up an ace, putting NP ahead 20-17. A kill from Monalisa Fasavalu off a Darby Switzer assist then gave the Vikings a 22-19 edge, and NP later sealed the victory on an ace from Fasavalu.
Junior middle blocker Hayley Brake finished the day with 15 kills and Sa'Vone Williams added 17. Switzer meanwhile dished 40 assists to bring her season total to 534 for a 6.85 per set average. Fasavalu added 19 digs against North Central during the first game and 26 total for a 4.3 average.
North Park returns to action this Tuesday when it hosts College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Elmhurst College at 7 p.m.
