The North Park men's basketball team fell 82-47 to host Carthage College in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action Tuesday night in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Junior transfer Mark Holmes finished with a team-high 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting, including two three-pointers. Freshman Trent Kucera added eight points, while both freshmen Reggie McGee and Jon Bogaard had six points each.

Carthage's stifling defense held the Vikings in check for most of the game as the Red Men held NP to 34 percent shooting. North Park did out-rebound Carthage 10-5 on the offensive glass, and out-scored them 12-6 in second chance points.

North Park (4-10, 0-3) returns to action this Saturday when it hosts Millikin University at 4 p.m.
