Box Score

The North Park men's basketball team earned a close 71-66 victory over Albion College Tuesday night.

North Park shot the ball well from the field with a percentage of 54.2% overall.  Senior Emanuel Crosby contributed 8 of 11 from the field for a game-high 18 points.  Senior Roshawn Russell  was also strong with 15 points, being 4 of 4 from the free throw line, while junior Mark Holmes went 6 of 13 overall and 1 of 6 from the three point line for a total of 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Freshman Reggie McGee and senior Kendell Greer also contributed 11 points each.

Albion led the first 5 minutes of the game, but North Park took the lead it would barely hold for the remainder of the half on a 3 point field goal by Roshawn Russell at 15:35.  Twice Albion tied the game, but North Park held on and built a lead as large as 7 with a little over two minutes remaining in the half.  The score was a tight 31-29 at halftime.

Albion came out strong in the second half, taking the lead after about 3 minutes on a three-point field goal from Anthony Walsh.  North Park tied the game at 12:27, but would not lead until 10:27.  Albion tied the game two more times in the half, never falling more than 8 points behind, but a basket with 2 seconds remaining by Albion's Anthony Wash was not enough to force overtime.

The Vikings (4-5) return to action this Thursday when they travel to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at 6 p.m.
