North Park University Athletics

Gyanni Kanellakis joined North Park in the spring of 2026, serving as the Strength and Speed Coordinator as well as developing the defensive backs.

Before joining the Vikings, Kanellakis worked as a Strength and Performance intern at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He assisted the Strength and Conditioning staff by collection performance data, acted as a position liaison for linebackers, and worked directly on the floor with the Division I athletes. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Kanellakis holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with an emphasis in strength and conditioning and a minor in coaching. He was a five-year member of the Blugolds, earning All-Conference honors in 2023 and serving as a two-time team captain.

In his career, he totaled 127 tackles, including 7.5 for loss, was credited with 3 sacks, and picked off a pair of passes. Additionally, he had 2 pass breakups anda  fumble recover. His 2023 all-conference season showcased 77 tackles (46 solo).
