High School: Was a four-year letter winner as an infielder for the baseball team…Named Offensive Player of the Year his junior year and Defensive Player of the Year his senior season…Was an All-Northern Illinois Big 12 honorable mention as a sophomore and a First Team All-NI selection as a junior…Also earned Second and First Team All-Area honors as a sophomore and a junior…Helped lead the team to a three regional championships and set the high school home run record with 10 home runs his junior year…Became only the second player in the last 20 years at his high school to hit for the cycle.
