North Park University Athletics

Coach Alice Copland enters her fifth season coaching with the North Park women's tennis team in 2025-26, taking over in her first season as the Head Coach.

Copland assisted the 2024 North Park Women’s Tennis team to a 16-win season, finishing as the runner up in the 2024 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament. She also helped guide the Vikings to their first conference title in program history this past fall, grabbing the first-ever regular season win over Wheaton College.

Prior to joining the NPU coaching staff, Copland was a member of the University of Montevallo women's tennis team from 2015-2018. She represented the Division II institution as an athletic senator and member of the student athlete advisory committee (SAAC). Copland was an ITA Scholar Athlete, was named to the President's and Dean's List, and earned the Silver Level Presidential Honor Roll during here time at Montevallo.

Copland also worked in London, UK at the Wimbledon Shop at the Championships where she managed 25 team leaders and 150 retail assistants at the prolific venue. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Copland works full-time in NPU's School of Business and Nonprofit Management as an academic advisor.
