The 2023 season will be the first as a graduate assistant coach for Manderfeld.

Manderfeld was a mainstay for the Viking softball program from 2017-2021, earning captain status in her final two seasons. The everyday center fielder for the Vikings is the all-time hits (171), sac bunts (20, and runs scored leader (124). Her 33 stolen bases and 199 total bases rank 3rd and 4th all-time, respectively.
