The 2019 season will be the second for Coach Shane Cloutier.
Cloutier joined North Park in 2018, following a successful four-year stint as an assistant coach at the University of Southern Indiana (NCAA DII). Cloutier assisted in all facets of the USI program and was part of a staff which led the Screaming Eagles to their first NCAA tournament win in program history. USI was 32-18-8 during Cloutier’s last three seasons, qualifying for the postseason each year.
Along with his college coaching duties, Cloutier has been a successful club coach the past two years with Sporting Southern Indiana, working primarily with the U17 and U18 boys.
Prior to joining the USI staff, Cloutier worked as a speed and agility coach at Sports Acceleration in Evansville, Ind. His expertise in the area of soccer-specific strength and conditioning has been an asset at the club and college level.
Cloutier was a standout striker coming out of high school, and battled through injuries to make 38 appearances for USI between 2008 and 2011.
A native of Dyer, Ind., Cloutier has a Bachelor of Science in sport management as well as a coaching license from US Soccer. He is also a member of the United Soccer Coaches.
