North Park University Athletics

Taylor begins his second year as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for Rooker's 2021 Vikings. Taylor will also develop the defensive backs at NPU. A native of South Bend, Ind., Taylor arrives at North Park following coaching stints at Denison University and Hanover College. While at Denison, Taylor guided the Big Red to back-to-back North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) titles in 2018 and 2019, their first championships since 1986. 

A four-year letterwinner as a linebacker, Taylor graduated from Anderson University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in education and minor in athletic coaching. After graduation, Taylor served multiple internships at the University of South Alabama and Tulsa University in strength and conditioning. Taylor earned his Master of Education in education leadership at College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) familiar Carthage College in May of 2017, where he also developed the Red Men's running backs.
