Matt Arshinkoff

Arshinkoff brings a wealth of experience into his second season as North Park’s special teams coordinator.

He comes from the University of Akron’s football program, a Division I institution which is a member of the Mid-American Conference, where he served on the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant and a graduate assistant in many facets of the program.

While at Akron, Arshinkoff served as the graduate assistant for defense and special teams. As the Zips’ GA, he assisted with the defensive line coach and defensive coordinator in film breakdown, grading, game planning and scouting reports while running the offensive and special teams scout team. Akron’s offense improved immensely during his tenure as the Zips offensive production doubled in total yardage, averaging 427.17 yards per game in 2012 compared to 277.75 in 2011 while its offensive line allowed 14 less quarterback sacks from the previous season (24 sacks in 587 attempts in 2012 to 38 sacks in 376 attempts in 2011).

Prior to assisting the defense, Arshinkoff served as Akron’s graduate assistant of player relations where he worked with the special teams coordinator as well as the defensive line coach in day-to-day coaching and film breakdown. His responsibilities also included working with the wide receivers coach in day-to-day coaching and he conducted campus tours for recruits and their families.

A native of Ohio, Arshinkoff is a 2005 graduate of Akron and he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration Sales and Marketing.
