High School: Was a three-year letter winner in wrestling at 160 lb weight class…A two year letter winner in football as quarterback and placekicker/punter and in baseball as a pitcher, catcher and outfielder…Captain in football, wrestling, and baseball…Led the team in rushing yards with 800 and in passing with 900…Averaged 39.5 yards per punt…Ended his high school career as an All-conference honoree in both football and baseball and received an All-area honor and MVP in football.

Personal: Parents are Freddie Burton and Marsha Shane…Has two brothers and two sisters…majoring in Criminal Justice.
