North Park University Athletics

2012: Started in all 10 games and ranked second on the team in receiving yards with 143 and two touchdowns…Had a season-high 45 yards receiving with a one touchdown catch against Augustana College in Week 7…Ranked eighth on the team in all-purpose yards.

2011: Appeared in six games…Recorded two tackles, rushed for 42 yards on 11 carries, and two receptions for 12 yards.

High School: Was a four-year letter winner for baseball and swimming…Three-year letter winner in football as a wide receiver…Won a state championship with the baseball team and as a freestyle swimmer senior year…Graduated on the honor roll and as a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Parents are Jeff and Julie Bates…Has two brothers…Majoring in criminal justice.
