LA CROSSE, WI., -- North Park faced a tall task Wednesday night against an undefeated Eagles team in the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (7-0), currently the #11 ranked team in the country. The Eagles handed the Vikings their fifth loss of the seasons, posting a 7-0 shutout. La Crosse posted four first half goals and finished with a commanding 30-7 advantage in shots. For the Vikings, it was Astrid Palmblad who led the charge with three attempts, while Caroline Sjøstedt and Amara Olivas each put a shot on goal. Almi Palmer had a chance late in the 87th minute to put one on the board for North Park when she sent a shot off the goalpost.
The Vikings will look to regroup before their first conference matchup on Saturday, September 26th when they host Wheaton College.
