CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park Women's Basketball fell victim to plenty of points in the paint in a 95-67 loss to Elmhurst University on Saturday afternoon.
The Bluejays were extraordinarily effective driving the lane and beating the Vikings off the dribble, tallying 74 points in the paint on 41-of-74 shooting (55.4%).
An overall tough day for the Vikings was led by a career high 25 points scored for junior guard Aliyah Hershberger, who buried three of five treys. Junior forward Caroline Long nearly tallied a double-double, marking 13 points and 8 rebounds.
For the Bluejays, Kristin Bukata and Natalie Robinson were north of 20 points with 26 and 23, respectively. Bukata had a double-double with a dozen assists while Anna Kleszynski secured a double-double with 10 points and as many boards.
