ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The North Park University Men's Volleyball were knocked out of playoff contention on Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets to Augustana College (12-11, 2-6 CCIW) with scores of 25-22, 29-27, and 25-16.
Match Highlights:
- Set 1: Augustana's Benjamin Schultz and Zach Moreano each had three kills in the first set, while Cole Clarke had a pair of blocks. For the Vikings, sophomore outside hitter Gerald Malana drove three kills.
- Set 2: The second set was a nail-biter, with Augustana edging out North Park 29-27. Schultz continued to send in crucial kills, supported by solid defense from Max Sellers with four digs and five perfect receptions.
- Set 3: Augustana sealed their victory with a commanding 25-16 win in the third set. Augustana hit .323 in the set and held NPU to just .029.
