CHICAGO, Ill. The North Park Men's Volleyball team faced off against the 13th-ranked Loras Duhawks (14-4, 5-2 CCIW) on Wednesday night. North Park fell to Loras in three sets, with scores of 13-25, 19-25, and 21-25.
How It Happened:
- First Set: Loras started strong, quickly taking the lead with kills from Bo Brainerd III and Corey Mayotte, a two-time All-American for the Duhawks. North Park struggled to keep up to a .500 attacking percentage by Loras, falling 25-13 in the opener.
- Second Set: North Park showed resilience, tying the score five times and even taking the lead twice. Fifth-year setter Teddy Gedville and senior outside hitter Ty Ingrao were catalysts in this set – Gedville with eight assists, Ingrao with three kills. However, Loras' Roman Rothermel and Nolan Krygsheld's led Loras with five kills each to take set two from North Park 25-19.
- Third Set: The final set saw seven kills for the Duhawks' Mayotte, who finished with a match-leading 15 kills. Senior middle blocker Sam Robinson had an ace and three kills in the 25-21 loss.
