BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The No. 6-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University Titans (21-1, 12-1 CCIW) raced past the North Park Women's Basketball team on Wednesday night, defending their home court with a 99-42 win.
The Titans held North Park to jump 19 first-half points while scoring 28 in the first quarter and 29 in the second quarter to put things away early.
North Park sophomore guard Aliyah Hershberger was the only Viking in double figures, scoring 11 points on 3-of-9 shooting. Senior forward Olivia Reed added seven points off the bench and led NPU in rebounding with six.
The Titans forced NPU to turn the ball over 29 times, but turned it over 22 times themselves.
IWU's Ava Bardic led all scorers with 17 points in just 19 minutes of court time. Lauren Huber had seven points and eight rebounds in her 11 minutes.

North Park (3-20, 0-14 CCIW) rounds out the season at home - Elmhurst on Saturday (Feb. 15) for Senior Day and Carroll next Wednesday (Feb. 19). Tipoff this coming Saturday will be 2:00 PM CT, with senior day festivities honoring Evelyn Abundes and Olivia Reed happening prior to tipoff.
