LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- North Park University dropped a hard-fought contest to Lake Forest College, 62-55, on Wednesday evening at the Sports & Recreation Center. The Vikings battled throughout, trailing by just two points entering the final quarter, but the Foresters pulled away late with timely shots under the hoop.
North Park (1-5) showed resilience after a slow second quarter, outscoring Lake Forest in the third period to tie the game at 38-38 before the Foresters surged ahead. Lake Forest (2-5) dominated the glass with a 46-28 rebounding advantage and converted 14 free throws to seal the win.
Top Performers
- North Park: Aliyah Hershberger led all scorers with 18 points, adding two three-pointers and four free throws. Kathryn Keehn chipped in 10 points, while Teresa Morrissey contributed six points and three steals.
- Lake Forest: Emma Hart paced the Foresters with 15 points and five assists, including three triples. Jamie Springstead added 14 points and eight rebounds, and Rylie Crecelius posted a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.
