DECATUR, Ill. – The North Park Women's Tennis team earned their second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) sweep of the season, picking up a 7-0 win over Millikin University on Friday afternoon.

Alexandra Pugachova moved u to #3 singles from her usual #5 spot to earn a pair of 6-0 victories. Maddie Starr also duplicated that performance with a 6-0 sweep of her own. 

Hanna Zethraeus and Emi Sand both had closer contests at respective #1 and #2 singles. Sand still picked up the win in two sets, 6-4, 6-3, while a tiebreaking set determined the victory at #1 singles. Zethraeus won the first set handily, 6-0, but her opponent, Emily Markus, roared back with a 6-4 victory in the second. A highly-contested tiebreaker showed Zethraeus as the victor, 107.

Thea Gifvars and Ella Darrow both won by forfeit.

Two doubles matches were played as Katja Carlberg and Alexandra Ristfeldt won, 6-2, in the #1 position while Ella Darrow and Pugachova also won handily at 6-1.

North Park (4-0, 2-0 CCIW) heads to Bloomington, Illinois for a 10:00 AM match with Illinois Wesleyan University.
