CHICAGO, Ill. -- After a long, three-week break from competition, North Park women's tennis returned with a vengeance. The Vikings made short work of the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors at the River Park Tennis Courts on Friday afternoon, winning 8-1.
The Vikings won their first through fifth singles matches. Hanna Zethraeus won 6-2, 6-1 while Alexandra Ristfeldt and Katarina Carlberg made short work of their opponents with 6-1 or 6-0 victories. Ella Darrow won a two-set tiebreaker at 6-2 and 7-5 before Kate Vinson went three sets to defeat her opponent, 6-3, 5-7, 10-6.
North Park also swept through its doubles play. Carlberg and Ristfeldt at #1 doubles won 8-1 while #2 (Carla Cazes, Zethraeus) and #3 doubles (Darrow, Maddie Starr) both swept their opponents with 8-0 marks.

North Park (2-1) takes on Luther and Concordia (WI) this coming weekend, in a pair of matches hosted in Mequon.
