ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – After one of the top moments in program history with a five-set win over North Central on Wednesday night, the North Park men's volleyball team ran into an equally formidable opponent in Augustana, falling in straight sets. The Augustana Vikings have won their past three matches in sweeping fashion, including at No. 11 North Central, to vault into the "receiving votes" category of the AVCA National Top 20.
North Park just wasn't able to get out of first gear in today's Battle of the Vikings in Rock Island. North Park managed just 25 kills in the three setter while Augustana had double-digit kills in each set and .250, .429, .333 team attacking percentages.
North Park did have four aces – three from sophomore Pablo Ocasio and one from senior Teddy Gedville. Junior outside hitters Vicente Cabrera and Ty Ingrao led the charge with eight kills each.
Augustana's Zach Moreano and Aidan Bolen each had 10 aces while Benjamin Schultz and Moreano added a pair of blocks each.

North Park (8-18, 1-7 CCIW) will end the regular season with a pair of home matches, first against the No. 10 Carthage Firebirds this coming Wednesday, April 3, at 7:00 PM.
