NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Sophomore midfielder Maja Applequist represented North Park Women's Soccer on the All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) list released on Tuesday morning. Applequist garnered second team honors, the first All-CCIW nod of her career.
Applequist was one of five players to start in all eight league games for the Vikings. The Morton Grove, Illinois native put six shots on goal against CCIW opponents, scoring in a 1-0 win against Carthage while assisting in a 2-0 win over Illinois Wesleyan. Her CCIW score arrived in the final game of the season, sending a 25-yard strike through the Firebird defense and into the back of the net at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.
Additionally, junior defender Stella Alvstad was named North Park's representative for the CCIW's RESPECT Award.
