CHICAGO, Ill. -- After adding two more wins and stretching their undefeated season to 10 games, the North Park Men's Soccer team flew all the way to No. 10 in the Week 4 United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 Poll unveiled on Tuesday afternoon.
As of Tuesday morning, North Park is nationally ranked in total assists (22), shutout percentage (60%, 24th), goal differential (+16, 27th), and goals against average (.600, 30th). The Vikings are also one of five teams in Division III to play 10 games without a loss on their record.
Freshman goalkeeper Ludvig Almborg is seventh in DIII with five shutouts on the season while his, and NPU's defense, team up to rank 38th in DIII with a 0.653 GAA.
Freshman midfielder Bastian Eikeland leads the Vikings and is tied for third among College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) scorers with five goals this season. Eikeland and junior forward Michal Dejworek share the team lead with four assists, tying for second in the league rankings.
North Park is the first CCIW Soccer representative, both for the Men and Women, to crack into the USC's top 10. This is the highest ranking for Vikings Soccer since Oct. 18, 2022 when they were slotted sixth.
