CHICAGO, Ill. -- North Park women's soccer made the quick turnaround to play at Illinois Tech on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Scarlet Hawks 3-0.
The two teams played nearly a half hour of scoreless soccer before Kelly Hitchcock put the Scarlet Hawks on the board in the 29th minute. Mary Frampton followed with a goal of her own not long after in the 32nd as Tech held a 2-0 lead at the half.
North Park could not get anything going in the first 45, unable to even tally a shot against a quality Scarlet Hawk defense.
Lucy Vanveldhuisen tacked on the third and final goal of the game in the 84th minute as Tech cruised to a 3-0 win in its season opener.Â
North Park's Morgan Wehseler, who scored in Friday night's win over Benedictine, provided the only offense for North Park with a pair of second-half shots.
