CHICAGO, Ill. – The North Park men's volleyball team split a pair of matches at their hosted Tri on Saturday afternoon, dropping a straight-sets opener to Trine before finishing Maranatha Baptist in the same fashion.
How it Happened, Match 1
- Vikings unable to get much going against the Thunder, hitting .121 with 19 errors in the three set loss
- Trine blocks six Viking attacks while sending in five aces
- 12 kills for Trine's Ted Hofmesiter, four blocks for Matt Stillman
- Vicente Cabrera led the Vikings with 10 kills, Parker Payne adds a pair of aces
How it Happened, Match 2
- Vikings showcased a different lineup, with Xander Duenas and Liam Miller shining the brightest
- NPU hits .317 in set 1, .400 in set 2, and .231 in set 3, totaling .315 in the win
- Season high 11 aces for the Vikings, including a career high five by Duenas
- Seven kills for both Salazar and Cabrera
- Ikenna Nkuku records a block while Liam Miller adds a career high 16 assists
