GREENCASTLE, Ind. – North Park men's soccer stole a win away from the DePauw Tigers on the road on Saturday afternoon, earning a narrow 1-0 decision.
85 minutes of scoreless soccer was interrupted by the one and only goal at the 85:25 mark when sophomore defender Teo Helm tallied the only score of the game. Helm split through the Tigers' defense and, after a quick touch from junior midfielder William de Carro, Helm fired a shot through the DePauw keeper's hands, notching the only goal of the game.
North Park doubled the Tigers' shots (14-7) but the Tigers were more accurate, putting four on frame to the Vikings' two. The two teams also had similar corner kicks chances (NPU 7, DPW 6), as both teams took four in the second half.
Junior goalkeeper Alfred Swärd was in goal for the full 90, stopping four en route to his fifth clean sheet of the year.
