WAUKESHA, Wis. – North Park women's tennis is making noise this 2023 season. On Sunday morning, the Vikings made the trip up north to come away with a 5-4 win, remaining in the top three of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) standings.
In #1 singles, Zethraeus extends her winning streak to 11 matches after her 7-6, 7-5 win. Ristfeldt was successful at #2 singles with 6-2 and 6-4 wins. Starr in #4 singles stayed strong in the only extra-sets match of the day, dropping the first set 7-5 before earning 6-1 wins in the second and third.
The Vikings and Pios split their singles matches but North Park's doubles teams came through to secure a pivotal conference win.
#1 doubles of Alexandra Ristfeldt and Katarina Carlberg won a razor-thin contest over the Pios, 8-7, before #2 doubles of Hanna Zethraeus and Maddie Starr rolled through their competition, 8-2. #3 doubles of Lisen Bergqvist and Ella Darrow dropped their match, 8-1, but the Vikings would walk away victorious, 5-4.

North Park (6-1, 3-1 CCIW) will face Augustana College in a rescheduled match this Wednesday, October 4. First serve in Rock Island is set for 4:00 PM.
