WEST ALLIS, Wis. -- The North Park men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 23rd Annual Warrior Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College, on Saturday afternoon. The women's team placed 14th of 17 competing teams, credited with 346 points.
Freshman Sophie Hummitsch was the top Viking finisher, securing a placing of 66 in a field of 114 competitors. She completed the 6k in a time of 29:36.6. Sophomore Erika Ver Beek was the next-best finisher for North Park at 78th and a time of 29:27.4.
For the men, sophomore Ali Karatas was 48th of the 163 competitions in th 8k, recording a time of 29:33.7 for a top 50 finish.Â
What's Next?
The Vikings head to Peoria, Illinois this coming Friday, October 13, to compete at Bradley University's Pink Classic. The race begins at 1:30 PM.
