Vikings Set Surplus of Season-Highs in Win Against Wabash

NPU picks up 25-10 victory in first set

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- The North Park University men's volleyball team had one of their best games of the season in Wednesday night's 3-1 victory vs. Wabash. The dominant performance can be summed up to control and execution, as the Vikings committed just 11 attacking errors while securing 55 kills. Both represent season-best marks for the Vikings across 4-set games.

Outside of the 2nd set which went to Wabash, North Park comfortably controlled tonight's match. Their 25-10 win in the 1st set represents the season's largest margin of victory. Wabash kept things much closer in the 3rd and 4th, but they didn't have the defense to keep up with the attacking prowess North Park displayed. Emmanuel Eugene, Quinn Robinson, and Erik Bullard accounted for the bulk of the work by combining for 40 of those 55 kills.

Individually, Robinson and Eugene both set season-highs as well for the Vikings. The former's .706% attack percentage shatters the previous team-best of .550%—which Robinson had set against North Central in February—and Eugene's .571% in tonight's game surpasses that old mark as well. Those two can surely lend credit to setter Teddy Gedville as well who led the team with 32 assists.

With their second win in as many nights, the men's team will look forward to Sunday afternoon with momentum on their side. They'll rematch Loras who handed North Park a loss in their last matchup on February 19th. The Vikings' shot at revenge gets underway at 3:00 PM over in Dubuque, Iowa where Loras is set to host.
