NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Vikings took on the No. 1 North Central Cardinals on Saturday, losing by a score of 59-0.
North Park put up 314 yards of total offense compared to 402 for NCC, with the majority of the Vikings' yardage coming through the air. QB Matt Eck led both sides in passing at 269 yards while WR Hunter Gibson accomplished the same with 56 receiving yards, tying with NCC's Jake Lynch.
Defensively, DB Juan Nieves registered an interception just before the end of the 1st half, downed at the NCC 41 yard line. Theo Smith led the Vikings with 6 tackles as well as 1.0 TFL. Jonathan Thomas and Mo Carter amassed 5 and 4 tackles, respectively, and combined for a TFL as well.
