CHICAGO, Ill. -- The women's soccer team lost a bout against Kalamazoo College, 3-1, on Wednesday. Leading all scorers was Kalamazoo's Kai Ketola, who secured a brace before the first half ended. A third Kalamazoo goal in the first half saw North Park facing a 3-0 deficit going into the second half.
Despite the outlook, the Vikings fought back with a strong second half that saw both the offense and defense firing on all cylinders. They peppered Kalamazoo's keeper with six shots after putting up four in the first. To go with that, all four of North Park's corner kicks came in the second half of play. Clara Wernbo scored North Park's lone goal with 30 minutes left to play in the game, but that would be all for the Vikings.

The defense shut Kalamazoo out in the half but the Hornets' lead proved insurmountable. A final score of 3-1 marks North Park's fourth loss of the season, with their record now standing at 3-4-1.
