Bloomington, Ill. – The North Park men's basketball season came to a close Saturday afternoon as the Vikings lost by a score of 75-55 to No. 8 Illinois Wesleyan down at the Shirk Center.
The visitors stayed close with home Titans in the first half as a three-pointer by Lawrence Pointer with 9:25 left in the half saw the Vikings crawl within three at 17-14. Jalen Boyd splashed in a three of his own late in the half to make it 28-24 Titans. However, IWU went on run to enter the locker room up eight points.
Halftime: Illinois Wesleyan 32, North Park 24
The Titans found their stroke in the second half shooting 52% from the field. Izaiah Sanders cashed in a three with 15:18 left to give North Park a boost, but the offense was hard to muster for Vikings as they fell by 20 points in their final game of the season.
