Naperville, Ill. – The North Park men's volleyball team came up short on the road against North Central College in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-22) defeat Saturday afternoon at Gregory Arena.
North Park came out with a good first set, hitting 0.313 in the opening frame. A kill by Erik Bullard late put North Park within five, but North Central would go on to win the set. Armando Quinones kicked off the second set with a kill to put the Vikings up, and after a Cardinal point, Emmanuel Eugene slapped on home to put North Park up 2-1. The team would exchange blows for the next 10 or so points and a kill from Quinn Robinson had the two sides even at 13. North Central then had a 7-0 run to take control of the set that they would soon after win. The third set was another close one with a Bullard kill making it 21-all late, however the Cardinals scored four of the final five points to close out the set and the match.
