2021 All-CCIW Team
Naperville, Ill. – After a historic season that saw the North Park University women's basketball team earn the number two seed in the CCIW tournament, junior teammates Jayla Johnson and Emily Czuhajewski have been recognized by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) for their efforts over the course of the 14-game season.
Johnson received all-conference honors for the third straight year, while this was also her second straight unanimous first team selection. Johnson scored 15.8 points per game which was good for fourth in the conference. Her highlight on the scoring sheet came when she dropped a season-high 24 points on Wheaton College on February 9. She also finished fourth in the conference in shooting percentage at 48.2% and fifth in the conference in rebounds with 8.5 per game. Johnson got a double-double in over a third of North Park contests this year, hitting that mark five times. On March 4, with an and-one bucket against Carthage College, Johnson became just the 13th player in North Park women's basketball history to eclipse 1,000 career points.
Czuhajewski was recognized on the CCIW second team after starting in all 14 games for the Vikings this season. Her 9.1 points per game were good for 19th best in the conference and she finished with the fourth most made three-pointers in the CCIW with 24. She was also ninth in the CCIW with 386 minutes played. On February 27th, she splashed in three 3-pointers en route to a season-high 15 points, one of seven double-digit scoring performances.
