CHICAGO, Ill. – The North Park women's basketball team fell on Wednesday night to Carthage College by a score of 55-42. The Vikings struggled from the field shooting 27.3% from the field, only hitting two shots from behind the arc.
An and-one from Chantel Hairston gave NPU their final lead of the game with 5:52 left in the first quarter. From there, Carthage grabbed a five-point edge to head into the second with and didn't relinquish the lead for the remainder of the contest.
North Park played intense defense for the entirety of the game forcing 22 turnovers from the Firebirds, including 11 total steals. Jayla Johnson had four of those steals while Esther Miller had three of them.
