CHICAGO, Ill. -- The North Park football team took time before their game on Saturday to celebrate the careers of 10 seniors in what was their last home game at the Holmgren Athletic Complex. By the game's conclusion, it was Millikin's turn to celebrate after walking away with a 21-0 victory on the road.
Millikin's running game took over today as they totaled 203 yards on the ground, led by RB Marion McGhee's 92 yards to go along with a score. QB Cal Pohrte chipped in with a rushing TD of his own while throwing for 159 yards and a TD to WR Colton Lockwood. The offense did well to establish and maintain the lead, but it was the Big Blue defense that secured the win for Millikin. It was a team effort on all fronts as 6 players registered a tackle for loss, 3 registered a sack, and DL Alexander Perkins forced a fumble that teammate Christopher Vogt recovered.
North Park's offense wasn't able to get much of anything going as they totaled just under 300 yards. A respectable 118 of these came on the ground, with Tritian Zornes and Nick del Nodal taking the bulk of the workload while both averaging 4.7 yards per carry. WR Mike Oray was the top Vikings pass catcher with 5 receptions for 56 yards, while QBs Matt Eck and Hunter Hughes operated in a 75/25 split that favored Eck to the tune of 156 yards through the air. On the defensive end, LB Arnaldo Landrau showed out in his final game for the Vikings, picking up 14 tackles (9 solo) to go with a tackle for a loss of 2 yards. In the secondary, DB Maurice Carter had 2 pass breakups, with Juan Nieves tallying a breakup of his own along with an interception.

The Vikings will take on the nations' top-ranked team, North Central College, next Saturday, November 13, for a noon kickoff.
