KENOSHA, Wis. -- The North Park University men's basketball team fell at Carthage, 89-77, inside Tarble Arena on Wednesday night.
In the first half, the Red Men took the lead from the get-go and never lost it. Carthage grabbed as much as a 23-point lead as the Vikings found themselves down, 47-25, at halftime. The potent offensive attack for Carthage shot 59% percent from the field. Junior guard Toby Marek led the Vikings with eight points.

Down by as much as 32 in the second half, the Vikings worked to make the game competitive. After Marek drained two free throws, a layup by freshman Adam Bulwa and 3-pointers by sophomore Alex Flute and junior Lawrence Pointer cut the Red Men lead to 77-54.
Following a Carthage layup, the Vikings scored 10 of the next 16 points, making the score 84-70.
Unfortunately, the Vikings could not stage a late comeback and fell, 89-77.
