ORLANDO, Fla. – The North Park University women's basketball team opened the Orlando Classic with a 62-45 loss to No. 4 Hope College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Vikings played the nation's fourth-ranked team tough through the majority of the first half, trailing by just one point at 20-19.
However, Hope grabbed the momentum in the trailing minutes of the half, outscoring the Vikings 9-2 before halftime.
Halftime: Hope 29, North Park 22
It was all Hope College in the third quarter. The Flying Dutch outscored the Vikings 22-10 to hold a 51-32 lead with 10 minutes left in the game.
Unfortunately, despite outscoring Hope 13-11 in the fourth quarter, the Vikings fell to the Flying Dutch, 62-45.
