CHICAGO –
The #7 North Park University men's soccer team shutout the Wheaton College Thunder 3-0 to clinch sole possession of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season title at the Holmgren Athletic Complex on Saturday night.
The Vikings were first to mark, finding the back of the net at the 18th minute. Sophomore forward Shatil Khoury, off a corner kick by fellow sophomore midfielder Peder Olsen, headed his sixth goal of the season past the Wheaton keeper to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead.

The Vikings outshot the Thunder 10 to 1 in the half, but Khoury's header would mark the only goal of the first 45.
At the half: Wheaton 0, North Park 1
In the second half, North Park kept the scoring going as freshman Joachim Hoff scored his tenth goal of the season to extend the Viking lead to 2-0. In the 74th minute, from 55 yards out, freshman midfielder Ulrik Lund launched an incredibly improbable goal from 55 yards out that bounced over the Wheaton keeper, notching his second goal of the season to give the Vikings a 3-0 lead.
This score would hold steady as the Vikings earned the 2018 men's soccer CCIW title.
