Strong teams rarely lose back-to-back games and North Park proved that with a bounce back effort in an 89-61 win over host Millikin University Wednesday night.

On the heels of only their third loss of the season – a 12-point defeat against Manchester University Monday – North Park received another monstrous performance from junior Jordan Robinson, who poured in a game-high 31 points – his third-straight 30-point game – on 12 of 15 shooting. The 6-foot-3 forward also played to the tune of 14 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.

NP dominated Millikin on the boards, out-rebounding the hosts 41-20, including 11-4 on the offensive glass which led to 18 second-chance points. The Vikes led wire-to-wire and built as much as a 31-point margin on a jumper from Dyron Woods with 1:18 left in the contest.

Senior Juwan Henry added 17 points and T.J. Cobbs eight for the Vikings, who kept their spot at second place in the CCIW standings at 6-2. Both Colin Lake and Woods added six points apiece, and Woods' point total was a career-high for the senior.

North Park took control early as it pulled out to a 23-9 lead in the first nine minutes of the ballgame after a Robinson lay-up. They later held a 51-36 lead at halftime and opened the second half with a 6-0 scoring run on back-to-back three-pointers from Henry and Robinson.

A total of 13 Vikings saw playing time with all but two of them getting in the scoring column. Zach Fisher led Millikin with 21 points as the Big Blue fell to 3-13 overall and 1-6 in the CCIW.

North Park (12-3) steps out of conference play this Saturday when it travels to the South Side of Chicago to face the Illinois Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
